physique pictorial #26 is a setting of texts from the 26th edition of pornographic magazine Physique Pictorial, published in December of 1974, curated by photographer Bob Mizer. Originally marketed as a bodybuilding periodical instead of a homoerotic publication to avoid obscenity charges, the magazine pivoted into a pornographic publication in the late 1960s, printing full-nude photographs of young male models from a variety of backgrounds.

Alongside each nude photograph, Mizer wrote a few sentences about each man. These descriptions are mainly non-sexual and provided mundane information about each model, such as their birthdate, place of birth, or current occupation.

While there are nopublic details available for the lives of each man photographed after publication, their stories (their passions, their careers, their hometowns) give any reader a greater insight into each person. This piece aims to provide listeners with a similar connection.
